POWER SYSTEMS & ROTATING EQUIPMENT

The images & videos on this page demonstrate various power systems and rotating equipment video inspection applications. These were performed using small diameter flexible video scopes with high intensity lighting. Maverick provides clients with video footage and a variety of reporting options.  Retrievals of dropped tools, objects, and debris are often included in these job scopes.

Maverick has performed retrievals with video equipment in areas such as Edmonton, Wabamun, Genessee, Leduc, Fort Saskatchewan, Fort McMurray and more.

Remote Video Inspection (RVI) is the use of camera systems to image the internals of structures, equipment, and components that are otherwise inaccessible due to physical configurations, safety concerns, or other limitations. Maverick has a proven video inspection service track record including rapid response emergency services, working with our clients to plan RVI requirements for turnarounds, assisting in the development of predictive maintenance execution plans, and sourcing out or developing unique inspection technology.

GEARBOX ROLLERS & RACEWAY

This short video clip shows the main can drive gear rollers and raceway. A small diameter video scope was used to articulate and record general conditions of the gear box assembly.

DIESEL ENGINE CYLINDERS & PISTON

A Clark engine was brought down during scheduled maintenance. The client required a video inspection of the cylinder body and heads. This short video clip shows general wear with carbon build-up on the top head of the piston.

GEARBOX INTERMEDIATE SECTION

This short video clip was taken during a schedule outage. The outer teeth of the gear show potential surface wear.

GAS TURBINE BLADES

A small diameter video scope accessed the turbine casing through the side nozzle to view the 5th stage blades. Once the probe was in position, the main shaft of the turbine was rotated to cover 100% of the blade tips.
